There are "okay sushi" places in CS. For "great sushi" you'll have to look elsewhere. Another thing. People tend to only talk about sushi places in terms of food and not enough on their hygienic practices. At one popular place that was mentioned already (I won't name it), I saw a sushi chef doing his long business in the toilet and walking right back to his station to make sushi rolls without washing his hands. That was on my first visit there with my family. I didn't care for the food to begin with, and then having to witness that got me to cast some angry words at the restaurant manager. Needless to say, I've never visited the place again. Another equally "popular" place mentioned here isn't any better.

I've lived in CS for 8 years. Although a sushi fanatic all my life, I basically gave up on sushi restaurants in town and just make my own simple stuff at home.

Default All You Can Eat (AYCE) Sushi

The Indy has a review of "Sushi Ring," a new AYCE Sushi place on the south side of town. Anyone been there?

I like Jun off Filmore/Centennial...great place. The owner seats you and is very nice. They also cook your meal at your table if you go that route. Some people are way too picky on food on these forums

Another vote for AI. We live up the road from there and eat there about twice a month.

Default Sushi Rakkyo

The Indy says the new sushi place in Briargate is awesome; on Union Blvd near Briargate Pkwy in the King Soopers shopping center, just off of Powers Blvd and not far from Memorial Hospital north.

I'm not sure of the name, but there's a sushi place on Centennial right next to Hondo's sports bar. Seems to be quite busy all the time.

That one is called Ai Sushi, not to be confused with the one with the same name on Powers by the Theaters - not sure if they are related at all. I love the one one Centennial.

What's some good sushi restaurants?! I'm a little weary of sushi places in landlocked states being that I'm from Long Island and the fish is always fresh but if anyone can recommend a good place!
