Our family is planning to spend 2 weeks in Colorado Springs area over the Christmas/ New Year holidays. This will be our time to get away, but also to look around and learn about the area as we are considering a relocation sometime in the future. Staying at a hotel or B& B for 2 weeks will break our bank. Does anyone know of a place available for short-term rent (2 weeks) in Colorado Springs or Manitou Springs? We are looking for a small, private place that is clean and is in safe neighborhood. Ideally, it would be a cabin or a small cottage, but if we can't find something like that, a condo/ apartment would work. Please email me directly at sineoki@yahoo.com with any leads. They would be greatly apprecaiated.

Thanks!

One thought is that where Old Colorado City (west of downtown) blends into Manitou Springs, there are lots of old, small tourist courts that harken back to travel in the 1950's, yes rustic stuff, some by a babbling brook.

That's a tourist season mecca, now it's getting VERY empty. Some of those places may consider something in the way of a reduced rent, not sure. Best if you google [ 'vacation rental' +manitou ] and see what pops up.

Some realtors have deals with some apartments that allow short term rentals so you may want to start working with a realtor, I'm not one. Failing that, try the usual sites like craigslist or rentals.com etc.

You might check with Fillmore Crossing (Fillmore Crossing) and see if they do short term rents. Their apartment rentals range $475-850 a month and are furnished. Also agree with what Mike was saying, there should be places available in Manitou, but I don't know any details on them.
