Yup! His truck could pop a wheelie easier than my old iron head.

Looks like a fun hobby. A bit too rich for my blood. I suppose priorities are part of the problem.

Oh, and pardon me for bragging about how old I am. Have fun, kiddies.

I used to have a 1980 ironhead 1000. Not nearly as nice as yours.

Oh thanks! It's a 74'. I owe the credit to my Brother in Law because he rebuilt it a bit and painted it. He paints bikes and Semi-Tractor fenders and stuff. He painted the wife's car and did an awesome job. It was kind of a custom color. Not another one like it.

I did a stupid thing about a month ago. Bought a new battery for it because I don't have a battery maintainer yet (about 5 bucks at Harbor Freight) and I installed it and forgot to polarize the generator (Field) before I started it. Now the new battery don't hold a charge and I might have fried the Generator.

But, it's given me a chance to work on the dreaded yard. Too many projects, too little time.

Oh that's right. We might have some vegatarians in here. Or some prairie dog lovers.

I'll refrain from the gross pics now and in the future.

Quarter mile in 10.6? 127 MPH? That's pretty fast for a truck huh? That's like motorcycle fast, huh?

So, JAF. What can I do with my 63' 300 with a 2bbl 383 to make it a bit faster and without doing serious top or bottom end stuff, as it's pretty tight now? I just want it to rumble a bit and giddy up a bit. It will scratch when it shifts into 2nd right now. It's got the old push button linkage on the left. I want to put in dual exhaust and maybe an Edlebrock 4bbl and intake. What do you think. I got some ideas from Ryan. I'm also wondering if there's a factory header for that engine and how much that'd help with HP.

As soon as I find a guy who'll do a good job on the exhaust for maybe about 350, I'm thinking about thrust (??) mufflers or something like that. I don't want it loud, just a slightly noticeable rumble when I step on it a bit.

McGowdog, you can't go wrong with Flowmasters. Nothing sounds as good and makes as much HP. IF you want serious horsepower, get a big cam, bigger heads, intake and a giant 4 barrel. Oh, and a nice set of headers.

JAF, a 10.65!! Mother of God, that's hella fast for a Silverado! Is the Engine built at all? How much boost do you run?
