I didn't see it (no cable) but that sounds like the other episodes I've seen. They really need to get back to doing more improvement and design-idea shows. Create is much better anyways, has no ads, and no cable bill!

*cry* We were trying to stay under 400k, but had no luck. Granted, we have space-sucking hobbies, and we didn't hold out for months and months. But still...

Hopefully it'll be online soon so I can get depressed first hand.

It would be interesting to see that episode, if only to se what neighborhoods they feature. A commenter on that article pointed out that this is not the first time it's come to Springs though, like the article said.
"Oh, the kitchen is only 2,000 sq. ft.? ... we're going to have to remodel, as that is much too small"

Them are the ones that annoy me.

Yeah for me it is the ones that walk into a perfectly functional, clean bathroom and complain that it will have to be completely redone.

Yes; I thought the old tile in that one shower looked really neat, but it was decreed "must go" by the buyers.

I also haven't seen the episode, but I've met the couple in real life several times. They are good friends of one of my co-workers. And I have to tell you, they are one of most likable young couples I've ever met. In the handful of times we've hung out, I don't even remember them bringing up the TV appearance until it was mentioned by someone else.

Maybe the wife was whiney; Again, I haven't seen the episode, so I can't say for sure. But this is a perfect example of why I'd be hesistant to be involved in any public forum where I didn't have some creative control. Given enough raw material and editing skills, anyone can be made to look a fool.

... or a beautiful genius. I work in the video editing field and was featured in a TV show episode once upon a time and I can vouch for that 100%. The last thing you do right before the cameras roll is meet with producers whose job it is to coax you into exaggerating everything to extremes. They usually won't even take you if you don't have a pretty 'colorful' personality in the first place. And then they add their selective editing and audio mixing on top of THAT. So it is good to note that it's really the show's CHARACTERS that are annoying, not the people playing them. So tell your friends that they're still fine people... they just got JarJar'd!
