Yes, you can find a decent one for that. For 1050 here you can get a gorgeous 2/2 (1100 sq ft) with views of the mountain. There is a decent amount of competition, and the better you can bargain the better the deal you will get. I got lucky and only needed one lease because I was planning to buy a house, so I negotiated hard for the one time move-in concessions since they hoped I would keep living there for years.

We moved from Destin, FL Rent is cheaper here - and while I miss those white sand beaches .. I love looking at the mountain view through my living room window everyday! We really spent a lot of time inside when we lived in florida - Now I feel like we're never inside because there is so much to do here! I don't miss the humidity .. and as weird as it sounds I think food tastes better here & the meats that we've found are way better and cheaper. We have not seen an increase in our grocery bill .. but water is more expensive. Also, if you decide to make the move run the addresses through the sheriffs dept website.. crime is higher here but we have not had an issue. Life is just different out here - but we're fully enjoying living on mountain time Best of luck to you!
