So it seems I'm going to have a bit of a problem with this. I moved out of state temporarily from CO until my husband returns from his deployment. With all that's been going on, I just now thought to check my tags - I guess I thought I renewed them this year before we left, but then I realized I couldn't have due to an ongoing medical issue I've been having.. to my horror, they've been expired for a few weeks now. The state I'm in allows me to be here without having to switch my tags due to military/spouse stuff. Problem is, I know I can't renew online because I just tried.. my address obviously is not the same, and they've been expired for a few weeks. Is there any way I can renew by mail or some other way? We're only going to be here 2 more months, I can't bear the thought of the fees and ridiculousness of titling, registering, paying for a new license only to leave right after.. there has to be some sort of clause or something, surely? Hopefully? I have to get it figured out asap, so I'm praying there's a way. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I've renewed them for a friend in the same situation. Went down to the office, gave them her tag number, wrote a check and walked out with the new stickers. You may try calling, telling them you are temporarily out of state due to illness and could you have them mailed to a different address.
