Hello everyone.
My wife and I are excited to relocate to COS this summer. Coming to
look at houses in 2 weeks. Yeah!
We've narrowed our search to homes in either Liberty or Rampart district.
Our son will be a freshman this fall. We aren't interested in the IB program (he's not that advanced) but he will probably do honors classes.
He's not into sports at all.
He's more of a geeky, socially awkward type.
He's still growing up, so we aren't exactly sure where his interests lie.
Possibly sciences or technology.
Anyway, what are some significant differences between the 2 districts
mentioned above?
Any information about the high schools would be helpful.
Especially information that's not available on the
district website.

Those high schools are in the same district and honestly there's not much difference between the two. If he is interested in science/technology, I would actually be thinking Coronado High School, as it has the nationally-ranked robotics program. All three are good comprehensive high schools.

You know, it's kinda funny. The two schools have the exact same floor plan and layout. They are like clones from a building perspective.

They should be pretty good for math and science. Pine Creek was good too, but that school was more sports oriented.

Discovery Canyon is also science and tech oriented. The IB program is optional.

The IB Program is optional for 11th and 12th graders, but required for all DCC students from K-10th. It's the way IB is. The website also confirms this.
