I know I can walk into Staples, etc and get something that is laminated particle board, but I want something that is solid hardwood.

Any stores around here deal in something like that, with a hutch?

Something that takes on this form, but in hardwood?

American Furniture Warehouse has a pretty large selection of computer desks, they might have what you want.

The Not Just Oak Place beezle mentioned is going out of business - I think in about 1 month:

Colorado Springs furniture store closing up shop after nearly 40 years

I don't know if that means maybe they would have a deal for you or not.

Well shoot.... Thanks for the update Otowi.

I just thought of another place, that has unfinished furniture you can finish yourself. I have bought stuff there in the past, pretty easy to finish:
CO Lumber Specialties & Unfinished Furniture Warehouse

(Hopefully this one is not going out of business too!).

We got ours at AFW, a line of office furniture allegedly styled by model Kathy Ireland.

If you're willing to drive up to Ikea, their Hemnes line is solid wood, including this desk:

HEMNES Desk with add-on unit - light brown - IKEA

FWIW, I didn't want a particle board desk either, and ended up furnishing my office with glass-and-black-metal desks instead (I ordered them online and had them delivered).

It's solid wood, yes. But I've looked at the Hemnes line of bedroom furniture and wasn't impressed. If the OP wants something a little more solid and not as "disposable", I'd skip anything Ikea.

You could check out the antique malls. They don't tend to the style you are looking for, but they have some pretty cool old wood desks.

Someone, years ago, stained a new solid door and installed wrought iron legs; it made a really cool desk, for 2 kids. I don't know how much doors cost, so don't know if this would work??
