What are the most fun places to visit around Colorado Springs when it snows, particularly if you have a dog? Fox Run looks gorgeous in the snow, so I'm looking to see if I can uncover other hidden gems too.

Red Rock open space has a designated off-leash dog area for "romping", besides the regular trails (where dogs are officially supposed to be on leash, but I see violators all the time). Last time I was there, though, the trails were icy or muddy rather than snowy. :-S

Head up the pass and take a romp around Manitou Lake ... there's a fee, but it's not bad. They get more snow than we do (usually).
