I've utilized the search function already, found some helpful info/found some outdated info.

Does anyone know of any RV/trailer sites/parks/whatever that offer: full hookup, pet friendly, less than a 30ish minute commute to the fort carson area, open till at least October.

Any information you could provide would be GREATLY appreciated. I've been doing quite a bit of searching - just hope I'm missing something lol.

Well Cheyenne Mountain State Park is extremely close and there's a KOA right near there too in Fountain.
KOA Fountain, Colorado Campground | Colorado Springs KOA open year round

Cheyenne Mountain State Park Colorado Parks & Wildlife - Camping open until mid October

Those are literally 5 minutes or less from Fort Carson. I am sure there are others further away.

Thank you for your reply! I've already looked at those two. I wish Cheyenne didn't book up so fast But I totally understand why they do! I searched around a little more and found a few a little farther out in the springs that look like a good bet. Hopefully they work out! Thanks again!

Golden Eagle Campground off Highway 115. 7-10 minutes from the main gate of Ft Carson There also are several off Highway 24 west of downtown Cos. These will be 15-20 minutes to Carson. These are Garden of the Gods RV, Goldfield RV, Fountain Creek RV, and Heart of the Rockies Campground. Most of these have a high percentage of seasonal as well as year round occupants.

Cheyenne Mountain State Park really is awesome, but yes, it books up fast and there is a two-week maximum stay. We loved it there. I also highly recommend Pikes Peak RV Park. It's smaller, but the people who run it are super friendly and it borders a stream that covers the highway noise. It is also open year round. We stayed there two weeks last October into November.

We stayed at the KOA Campground by Fort Carson for 6 weeks, when we PCSed here- waiting to get into a house. It is open year round. There are several families that live there, year round, and the school bus even picks up and drops off kids, there. Most of the amenities are for the peak season, but it was a nice, quiet and CLEAN campground. I have never seen such clean campground bathrooms out of anywhere we have ever been. The staff was all very friendly, and we enjoyed our stay. The campground being right off I-25 was a little noisy at times, but we had a spot close to the river, which was nice and relaxing, but also muffled the sound. It is pretty open, with not much shade, or trees, however. My biggest complaint is their Wi-Fi. It was terrible. Pretty much non-existent. If you have military access, the Air Force Academy has a very nice campground. It doesn't have as many extra amenities, but has more secluded spots, is in a wooded area and is a nice getaway.
