I don't think so. It responds very well to Zyrtec. Also, it's been no worse during more active smoke seasons. I really think it's cottonwood or cut hay. Anyway, as long as I've found something that helps, I'm a goin' out there!

Trees, grasses, weeds, and molds are typically the most common triggers in the area, although animals can be mitigating factors as well. All have different times of the year when they will be producing the most allergens. We have numerous species of all that are not found east of Kansas due to the typically arid climate. To really nail down triggers and reliefs, one might have to create a log of when symptoms occur, and what medications are taken, and the results are. Its entirely possible different triggers at different times are resolved by different products. Also, given that certain medication are water or fat soluble and this will impact the bodies ability to absorb and utilize them effectively against the histamines, some of these meds may not work at addressing immediate triggers or provide on the spot relief and may, rather, require a weekly regime of regular use.

Thank you for this good info.
I did notice more reactions the day after a windy, dry afternoon.
I know people who have to take shots for allergies.

I'm dying to get back to at least a normally humid climate. Bloody noses and dry skin drive me nuts, and my wife spends way too much time and money on her hair and skin. It's too bad that there are no moderately humid places in the U.S. Either extreme sucks.

Once in a great while. Some people get them fairly regularly.

Since I just moved here from a much more humid area I've had 2 bloody noses episodes... typically in the morning shortly after waking. I blame the 2nd one on the fact that I went back to where I previously lived for a family function and my sinuses got exposed to humid/moist air only to return back to Colorado and have to go through a short adjustment. They were both mild and I haven't had a problem since.

Actual bloody nose, not once in 16 yrs. Some blood when you blow your nose, due to the dryness, almost every winter. I think my DH is about the same as me, but I think he had 1-2 in 16 yrs, but some blood when blowing, pretty much every winter. I couldn't hazard a guess as to what percentage of people deal with it, but I've never heard any of my friends complaining about it either. OTOH, it's not a typical topic of convo, so who know :-) For some of us, it's not a problem at all.

Benboosted,

Where are you originally from ?

Besides mild bloody noses, were there any other adjustments at first, besides
drinking more water, saline nasal spray, or any common things ?

thanks
