It was the Twinkies who were behind it all. Definitely Twinkies. Oh wait, how about the Ho Ho's?

My daughter is 8 and I mentioned Twinkies the other day. Her response was, "What's a twinkie?" Apparently, she's never had one.

I'm hoping that there will be a DD on Powers someday. Just for their iced coffee.

True story. When called in by the Draft Board for physical and mental testing, they gave us lunch; a baloney sandwich on white bread, an orange and a package containing just ONE Twinkie, which are always found in packs of 2. I couldn't believe they went to all the trouble to contract for a package containing just one Twinkie, though that may have been available in commercial channels for such purposes.

For me it wasn't Twinkies....it was those orangey cupcakes! I think this thread has digressed a bit.

Jeez, you were lucky. We were bussed down to Syracuse from my home town, given no lunch, then I had to stay overnight because they thought I had diabetes, given no dinner, put up in a hotel with one toilet per floor, and no transportation to the lab where I had to go for additional blood tests.

Never a Twinkie, although I did love Hostess cupcakes and Ho Hos.

Imagine my disappointment at age 62 to learn that chocolate now gives me palpitations!
