I decided to ask these Qs on a new thread, because even though I found a similar thread, it was old (2006-2013), plus it encompassed a wide range of areas around Colo Springs. I'm just interested in Woodland Park in 2018. ...... and beyond

We both telecommute, so fast internet isn't a luxury; it's a necessity. We've lived in COS and Denver for umpteen years and use Comcast. We did try CenturyLink DSL and good grief, it was slow. In WP, apparently Peak Internet is the best choice. But according to their website, their TV service consists of watching YouTube? Seriously?

Are DISH or DIRECT in Woodland Park? I used to work for DISH, so I know about the tree and southern sky access issues. I also know DISH's satellite internet s**ks. People complained about that more than anything else. So ... now I'm *also* wondering if we'd have to get internet/phone from one company, and TV from another. Seems pricey. And complicated.

Thanks all!

Yes Dish and DirecTV are both in Woodland Park. Peak has fast internet. They've laid fiber in several neighborhoods within city limits (but not all). The YouTube TV they sell is a streaming TV service provided by YouTube that includes local channels. TDS is the local cable company and also has fast internet as well as TV service. Finally check out Teller WiFi. If you can't get Peak's fiber service then they would offer you line of sight wireless. But in that case, Teller WiFi's service is much better.

Thank you, thank you MountainEarth! TDS looks great ... and we didn't even know it existed! That goes for Teller WiFi too. As soon as I'm done Paper Illusion-ing my tiny bathroom floor, I'll look up Teller. I'd think DISH and Direct would have a hard time operating in WP with all the trees. Not that I want either one; I'm just a little surprised.
