Selling the house and the inspector found one damaged roof truss.

Any of you ever had that problem here? If so, who did you call and how expensive was the repair?

Thanks

How would that happen since it would NOT be caused by hail?

Maybe it was that way since new or someone was up there doing something and cut the truss (?)

The suspicion is that when roofers put on a new roof several years ago, the thew a heavy bundle of shingles down on the roof. Apparently this is not that unusual.

Never knew this so I'm checking mine-

Thank you!

I wonder if you could look at the permits (https://www.pprbd.org) and go after the roofer who did the work? I know the insurance co. would (subrogate) if you file a claim.

It may be an easy repair that a good carpenter could do too- always best to never file claims unless the house burns down.

I got a call this afternoon that the HOA is sending someone on Friday who is qualified. We haven't decided yet who is paying, but I'm just glad for the help finding someone qualified.

Turned out to be an easy fix. Took about ten minutes and cost $129. The roofing company said this was not uncommon.
