I'd like to cherry-pick the months non-sequentially - if I could do that I'd go for a month or two of Spring and a month or two of fall. But for sequential, I'd go fall - need to get late September/early October in there imho. I like the fall color and cooler, calmer weather. I'd go for Spring for the color and birds and stuff coming to life but the severe storms put me off, and our spring is incredibly variable while I think our fall is a bit more consistent.

I might like these best too. I agree with Otowi, there are some gorgeous Spring days, but overall Spring weather can be windy and tumultuous. And winter tends to get less snow than I would like although a sunny 60 degree day in January is always pleasant.

May-July. Snow, rain, sun. Everything coming back to life.

But why would you only want to live somewhere 3 months? It would never feel like home.

Lived in Colo Spgs years ago and thinking about a visit and was just curious which months the locals preferred. We haven't been back since 2013, when we went to see our first house in Mtn Shadows, which we watched burn down via the internet. I am in no way saying we were personally impacted - people lost their homes and lives, we just lost memories - but it was awful just the same. Thanks to whoever moved my post, no idea how I messed that up.

First choice Apr-Jun. This is a season of contrasts as old man winter is trying his hardest to hold on while spring is relentlessly pushing him out. Occasional snows storms with flowers popping up through the white blanket is awesomely cool. Things greening up with regular showers, trees starting to bud out and increasing leaf size, the increasing warmth of the days, cool mornings with a smell that is uniquely sand/rock/pinion/moisture. Biggest drawback to the season is all the tree pollen. I thin, green, powder film can be found on any puddle hours after a rainfall. Seasonal allergies can impact some.

2nd choice Sept-Nov. Again a season of contrasts. Lawns are still green, leaves are turning and falling, sidewalks and streets are covered in them. Colo Spgs has advanced enough beyond elms that there is a range of color in older neighborhoods. Aspen groves on the mountains outside of the city are obviously visible spotting the mountain sides with gold. The cool night air, the warm days with an occasional hot burst for a few days. Halloween on Tejon St is about as quintessential Americana as you can get and Manitou's Coffin Races are one of only a handful in the nation that are a great throwback reminder of how eclectic COS is below the surface. As things dry out and organic matter turns to dust, it can trigger different allergens than in the spring.
