Does anyone know how to get to Jones Park from the Seven Bridges Trail? The map I have cuts off at the beginning of Seven Bridges Trail. We continued on after the Seven Bridges. We came to a sign that read Jones Park .06 miles. We continued on and came to another sign that read pipeline trail. We took a left we then came to another sign that read "ring the Peaks trail" we continued on some more but turned around because it was getting late. Does anyone know where we went wrong?

Default e-trailmaps

Try this: Trail Maps by e-TrailMaps.com, specializing in Colorado Springs trail maps, Pikes Peak trail maps and Colorado trail maps I found a pdf file there of seven bridges that included many way points. At the 2.33 mile mark it said to go straight for Jones Park, left for Deer Park and Rosemont.

OTOWI - Thanks! That is exactly what I was looking for. I searched the web forever last night and couldn't find anything. So the trail is in Pike National Forest. I thought I was in North Cheyenne Park. I am new to hiking. The website you gave me mentioned being able to download the trails on a GPS navigator. Any suggestions in what to buy as in a GPS good for this?

I don't know enough to recommend a specific model. But I use a low-end Garmin for geocaching quite happily - maybe one of their higher models would serve your purposes well.

I have never heard of geocaching until the other day. We were in Canon City and my son found a tin box well hidden in a tree trunk. It had little treasures in it and a note stated that it was part of a geocaching group. My son left a note and a treasure and hid it back in the tree trunk. He is good at stumbling across stuff like that. He once found a balloon with a note tied to it tracing its location. It was let go in Arkansas and he found it in TN.

That is really neat about the balloon! You can locate geocaches in your area frm Geocaching - The Official Global GPS Cache Hunt Site .

Default Geocaching

I use a Garmin GPSmap 60csx, but it is one of the more expensive models and
you could get by with one that doesn't display all the maps, I think. I don't
use them as much as I thought I would, I usually carry paper maps anyway.
My son has a DeLorme, but he thinks it is not as geocacher-friendly as the Garmin is. There are some really cool geocache sites in this area.

I've stumbled on several Geocaches, without even looking for them. You guys need to do a better job of hiding them!
