Hi everyone:

We will be moving to COS next month and I will be working at Schriever. Is there a significant difference in the commute from Cheyenne Meadows vs. the commute from Briargate? They look to be roughly the same distance. Is a 30 - 35 minute commute (leaving before 07:00) a reasonable expectation?

Thanks!

My five second analysis would say Briargate would be faster. I then plugged them into Google Maps and the times are about the same. I would think the Cheyenne Meadows to SAFB would expose you to a few more stoplights, discontinuous while from Briargate taking Woodmen to Falcon to Curtis is probably more continuous, less stop and go.

Are there other factors you are considering?

Also, once you arrive at Schriever it is about another 10-15 minutes to get to your desk. So it might be 35 minutes to the SAFB parking lot then 15 more to your desk.

I would back you up on this Charles. The southern end of the city, living near Ft. Carson, you are bound to find more traffic, more traffic lights to get to Powers or Mark Sheffel...

Woodmen is going through a lot of construction, but by far, getting through that area (right now) it's easier.
