House hunters may find this list useful. This is a list of hundreds of homes that were once used to make meth and must be remediated before they are considered safe for occupation. The number of homes just east of downtown is disappointing, that is a nice area of old homes with a lot of character.

Google Maps

Here is the article in today's newspaper, that also has the link to the map: http://www.gazette.com/articles/rest...pecialist.html

Post Properties on the Meth Lab list

Thanks for the info! I went a little further and noticed that there were only 8 totals seizures this year and all but one looked like they were on the west side of Academy Blvd.

Several times on various threads, folks have pointed fingers at the SE end of town as being less than favorable, and I'm sure there are a few SE neighborshood that may be unsavory. But I don't see to many SE addresses here................... As I stated before, ALL neighborhoods have bad areas. I think this goes toward proving my point. Why do I mention this, because I don't want folks to get the wrong idea about the SE side or any other area of town they they don't live in, but want to offer comments about.

I guess I don't understand your frustration on this post...I never mentioned anything about the SE side of town. I said west of academy blvd and if you pull up the map from the website that is where all the busts were (with the exception of one). Sorry if you are offended about someone mentioning something about the SE side of town somewhere.

That being said mike, I looked at the map and noticed that there were 2 siezures 2 or 3 streets from my GF's house. She lives on the SE side, between Chelton and Academy.

Her neighborhood, from what i've seen from drivng around, and from what she's told me, is less than desirable. It kinda scares me driving around down there after dark

I think there's a reason she has bars on her windows.

The map is missing at least one. Briargate, Boxelder Dr, 80920, I forget the house number. 2-3 weeks ago the house "exploded", meth lab bust. It was 6 doors down from the house we used to rent. I don't remember the house number.

cspini, I'm not upset with you, and didn't take offense. I'm just really tired of the majority of neighborhood bashing being directed toward the SE. This thread showed that it's not just the SE, but all over. It's obviously that I'm failing to make my point without sounding upset, which isn't my true intent. I guess I'll just leave it alone, maybe it's a good thing. I can live here in peace and let all the other neigborhoods grow and get "gamey" and leave mine alone.

Whoaa, theres one across the street from me, too. Those things are everywhere. Definately worse, according to the map, S and E from downtown outward.
