Why not live in Centennial, Highlands Ranch, Parker, or Castle Rock? They're all MUCH closer and not much different from Springs. Do you really want to spend 45-60 min in the car each way every day? That's in good weather. Forget it when its bad.

Agreed. The drive isnt all that bad from a scenic standpoint, but day in and day out for 5 days a week will get to you and your car. Especially going over lovely Monument Hill during February!!! If you live on the north side of town you can get to Highlands Ranch, Parker and certain parts of Centennial in 40-45 minutes. What areas do you like in Springs?

Yeah, screw driving to Denver every day. I can't imagine why anyone would want to do that.

I drive from the north part of CS to south Denver (Lincoln exit) once or twice a week. I USED to do it five days a week and that got old really fast, esp. in the winter time. I think I worked full time for almost a year. Granted, my hours were quite different from yours (6am-2:30pm) so I missed traffic both ways. And yes, I spun around in a complete 360 once, but at that early hour of day, there's nobody on the freeway for you to hit, so I was lucky. Once or twice a week now, the drive is not bad but again, my hours are VERY early.

If you will be working the more standard office hours of 8-5, you will need to leave around 6:30am in the morning, and will likely get home around 6:30 or 7pm in the evenings. If it snowed overnight, you'll need to leave a half hour earlier.

I would recommend looking at Castle Rock, Lone Tree, Parker, Highlands Ranch areas to be closer if you can. Littleton is further west on C-470 but is also nice, much closer to the ski areas too.
