We went to Saltgrass once and it was awful! My husband and I are big steak eaters and we were not impressed. On the rare occasion we get out for a date night, we almost always go to Mackenzie's. It's our go-to place for special meals. The baseball-cut New York is my absolute favorite steak in town! I dream about the sauce! Ted's Montana Grill is another favorite since we live on the northside. My husband is in love with their bison ribs.

Ted's is really nothing special if you're a big steak eater...places like Pepper Tree blow it away.

Pepper Tree has a view that really can't be beat. And, they'll prepare and cook your steak at tableside. It's pricey, but it's a meal you'll remember for a long time.

If it's any indication, my family went 2-3 summers ago, and we still talk about it, especially when we go to OTHER steakhouses

I have been to most of the steak joints here. I do feel by far Pepper Tree is the place to go. My husband swears on the Peppercorn steak!
