Logging? The only logging place I know is in Saguache, CO. I doubt they would hire you because they are so small and if they did hire someone, it would be an older adult who needed the job to support family.
Forresty, the forestry station that I know of is in Monte Vista, they do hire in the summer and they hire teens. I don't know about up here in Colorado Springs. I'll be sure to check back later to read the answers just for my own curiosity.
I know of young adults who have worked the summer months with the fire service on wild land fires...they pay well but it is tough work.

Check the Federal "USAJobs" site for Forest Service positions. Now is the time to apply. They could put you anywhere, not just Colorado; nothing wrong with Utah, Idaho or other western states, including Alaska, where you also have an interest.
