Gleneagle - We have researched for over a year to move to COS and visited several times. We have decided on Gleneagle due to location and school. You can get a great home, 80's, for the best price. You can also get great finds in Struthers Ranch. We have decide to rent first which is more expensive than buying. I don't know why they are charging so much for that area but worth it so you can get a realistic idea. There are so many nice parts of the North Springs. Not a sea of cookie cutter homes...too bad they allowed builders to ruin the landscape. Good luck

Americanamomma, we'll look forward to having you in Colorado Springs! The areas recommended to you are nice options. I live in Falcon and we love it there, but the biggest complaint about Falcon is that it's too far out of town for some folks. Good luck with your decision.

I always find it a bit odd when someone MOVING TO an area complains about too many houses. The reason houses are built on previously undeveloped land is because more people, like you, continue to move here. That's like complaining about litter while throwing trash out your window.

Make your hotel reservations early. Labor Day can be pretty busy. It's Parents Weekend at the Air Force Academy, the Academy's home football opener, and the Colorado Springs Balloon Festival.

Wow, thanks for the heads up on Labor Day weekend. I think we are going to change it to the beginning of Aug instead
