I strongly urge anyone with kids to visit the Manitou Art Theater. Prices are extremely reasonable, like $8. Took the kids here today. Snapped a couple of photos. Welcome to Manitou Art Theater!

There is a nice park across the street to go to before the shows. After the shows they serve free milk and cookies to the kids and have a crafts room for the kids to build performance based artwork. They also serve beer and wine and espresso that you can bring into the show. Very cool.

Looking west on Manitou Boulevard, Pikes Peak in the background.

The MAT, 515 Manitou Boulevard, looking south. The kids watched the show while my wife and I used the free internet and enjoyed coffees in the coffee/espresso bar in the front room which is also an art gallery. Very relaxing. Beer and wine are served too. The MAT is an old parking garage built about 100 years ago. Inside the coffee room are some cool photos of the MAT taken when it was a garage. Check them out if you ever go there.

Default Manitou Springs Pics

So we spent Sunday morning up there and got oh so close to doing the Cog Rail. Maybe next time and we'll take MFBE suggestions. So 20 years in Branson Baldknobber Land says it's dangerous up at 14,100+ feet. Well of course! You could fall down the mountain 14,000 ft and go boom, right?

Anyway, without further ado...

Yeah Old School buddy!

Hope you enjoy some of these.

Love Colorado !! The climate, the people, the scenery...we lived in Colorado Springs for 10 years. My sister was married in the church in the background of your first picture here. Thanks for sharing these great pictures, brings back memories of our trips to Manitou !! Did you get over to Seven Falls?

Great pics! I must get there soon! It's been on my list of things to do (high up on the list too) since we moved here but haven't made it there yet. Thanks for sharing!

Good stuff. Gives a picture that conveys some of the "feel" of the town and area. You have a good eye for a picture, thanks. Makes me almost regret that I'm probably too conservative to be a comfortable Manitou Springs resident!

Spent a few hours in Manitou over the weekend, visiting a friend. Cute shops and terrific scenery. The Incline (we hiked a bit) is a blast. You can keep the water, though.

I usually try not to. I hear fish do the nasty in that stuff.
