What's the Northeast side like? I'm looking to relocate. I'm about to turn 30 and will be working near the NE side. Be by myself for a while before the significant other comes out.

I dunno, I'm not there, so I don't know much, that's why I'm asking, all I know is people say I should look "Northeast"

Mike posted over a dozen links to other conversations on the best neighborhoods on his index link here:

//www.city-data.com/forum/color...ey-topics.html

There are really some great links there, thanks to Mike...I'd recommend to anyone to start there. I learned so much about the area by reading through those links.

I haven't been there either, we're heading over end of September for a few days to check it all out. I can tell you though, that I'm leaning toward zip code 80920 in Briargate, or near...again, haven't been there though. I like the idea of excellent schools without paying for a private education. No kids yet, but we're looking to buy our first home.

Good luck to you and welcome! The residents of COS have been very welcoming and helpful on this forum. Read around and ask for help when you can't find the answers you need, they are just awesome!

oh my goodness every single home on PPAR in Manitou springs is either brand new and enormous or a beautiful craftsman era home. And every last one of them is over 200k and the ones that are only 200k are 1 bedroom houses. How can hippies afford to live there. I wish I could afford that area it looks amazing.

Maybe if you could be a little more specific where your work is? Voyager? Powers? N. Union?
