I live at 7000 ft. in NM and there's no need for flea, tick and heartworms in our area.
How is it in Colorado Spgs. and surrounding areas such as Woodland Park and Divide?
Do you all keep your pets treated or is there not a need to do this?

I have lived in the Black Forest area for 15 years and have not seen a flea or tick on my dogs ever. I have never treated for them either.

Thanks Beezle for posting.
I'm considering moving around that area in the future.

It is the same. No fleas. But I would watch out for ticks around Woodland Park, etc. Early March through July.

Heartworm meds are recommended in warmer months but I don't treat my dog. There's no standing water in the areas I have lived in so it's a waste of money and putting meds in my dog.

What a sweetie.
Looks like the black lab I had but had to put her to sleep last Jan.
