Not sure where you got your information about Stetson Hills, but the CSPD maps/info do not reflect that. After a little research, I could only come up with 3 thefts in the past year for Stetson Hills. Far more in the southern and western part of the Springs.

Here are the maps: City of Colorado Springs - Police Homepage The most helpful map was the "calls for service in your neighborhood" link.

"Not sure where you got your information about Stetson Hills"

Yes the cpsd maps of stetson hills look great but I went to the actual police blotter and read through the incidents and noticed a trend robberies tend to happen in stetson hills...people get shot on murray. The incident that really scared me was one where a woman was held in her home at gunpoint with her two sons...I have two sons so it hit home. This week in stetson hills someone intentionally hit a group of teenagers with their car at a stetson hills dollar store, a walgreens was robbed at gunpoint(actually there were like 6 different robberies of different walgreens throughout the city), a man was shot on potter dr., a payless on space center dr. was robbed

And again this week someone was shot on murray.

The week I read the blotter there were several home invasions in stetson hills. This week it seems armed robbery of walgreens was more appealing anyway you can look at the actual police blotter here

homestead is an older established neighborhood between Powers and Academy to the east and west ...and Barnes and N Carefree to the North and South. Homestead is actually the name of the development the area is also known as village seven I believe although village seven may be more the are to the south west of homestead. I really like it here so far there are some great parks and playgrounds just a short walk from my home.

The police station is located in Stetson Hills, it's not the Stetson Hills area they mention on the blotter, that means it was dispatched from the Stetson Hills station on Tutt.

Murray does NOT run through the Stetson Hills subdivision.

Stetson Hills is bound north of the Cimmaron Hills sub from where the IMAX theater (Kohls, etc) is. On the west by Powers and on the north to about Dublin.

Default Colorado Springs?

My husband and I are middle aged people who will probably be working until the very end!! I am a nurse (Hospice). We plan to sell our condo in the mountains of North Georgia in Spring 2010 ans buy an RV to live in full-time. I really LOVE Colorado Springs and was wondering if anyone knows any full-timers in Colorado? Where do they hook-up? Is there a nice RV place to stay in Colorado Springs?? We have no children, but I will commute to work.
