Have you tried Tong Tong Korean on South Academy? I like it better than San Chang now.

Well, I'm going to have to try this place. As far as a "MUST" restaurant that offers a "Colorado Springs-UNIQUE" dining experience, I'm one of those who don't believe there's one in Colorado Springs or anywhere near. Over the years I've developed nothing but pessimism in CS when it comes to a great dining experience like the ones in San Francisco or L.A. (Okay, I'm spoiled! ) Since CS is no comparison to SF or L.A., I've been only asking for ONE - yet none!

The Craftwood is certainly unique and Colorado-specific. And the Penrose Room is comparable to the best restaurants even in LA or SF.

froggin4colorado is right about Senor Manuals. It's on north Nevada, I know that part of the Springs as I grew up near there in the Cragmor area. It's a great place to eat, has been around for a long time! I've eaten there several times, have never been disappointed!

Well, I just found out today that by sending your email to rewards@craftwood.com, they'll give you $25 gift certificate. They sent out a round of gift certificates today, and they'll do another round tomorrow. Guess I'll give the restaurant a try....

Good luck. I enjoy the Craftwood because of its Colorado menu. Lots of wild game. Elk and boar and such. It's not cheap. But it IS outstanding.
