We are looking at a small house for sale in the Arabian Acres Sub Division. We drove out to look at it today and really liked it, but it is pretty far back into the neighborhood. Does anyone live in the area?

Can you tell me if there is decent internet services available in that area? I looked at Qwests website and it said broadband/dsl was not available there, I need to call them directly but they are currently closed.

What about schools, I have a pre-schooler (daycare?), and a child going into Jr. High. What about children, are there many children in the area?

Thanks!

I know a few people that live in the Florrisant city limits and they have Qwest DSL. You might get lucky, I'm not sure where Arabian Acres is.

Your schools will be Woodland Park, which are good from what I hear (I don't have kids yet).

Other than that, I can't help you much. Personally, that's too remote for me

Thank you! I appreciate any help and advice I can get.

Honestly it seem to me the house is closer to Divide than Florissant, but the USPS lists the address as Florissant. I guess looking at an overall view of the area, its pretty much in the middle of the two. Arabian Acres is off the CR-42 (Twin Rock Road), near the Colorado Wolf & Wildlife Center.

With any Colorado property you want to know who supplies your water, and how good the quality of the water system is. My recollection (and it is just that, a recollection) is that there were some fairly serious unresolved issues with the water district at Arabian Acres. Assuming I am remembering this correctly, this was about six months ago.

Regardless of where you buy add "check water quality" to your to-do list before signing any residential real estate contract.
