Yeah, and it's a pain in the neck. You gotta go online and sign up or something to get it refunded. Other vendors don't take the "cashless" system so some folks loaded up on that and had no money to buy stuff from the vendors.

There's this thing called a cash register that has historically worked pretty well. Then there's this other thing called an ATM that helps you get this thing called Money. Then there's this other thing called a Credit Card Swiper, it works great too. Cashless system, D-.

All of the food and beverage vendors must take it while vendors that sale items do not. I will see what it is like on the refund system when the fair is over if I have any money left. Personally I like the system and think it will spread to other fairs plus I think that somehow the fair will see more money this year from the vendors as this will force them to be more honest.

"We control all the revenue, and we pay the concessionaires," Wiseman said. "The old way was that the concessionaires paid us. It gives us a lot of control because we make most of our money in 11 days." [1]

The control provided is likely the impetus for this. If any great concern for the customer then those 140 ATM-like kiosks would as easily refund in cash the remaining balance on these cards.

I read the quote and can understand that. This is a new system so it will have growing pains.

Umm ya it's a state fair with animals and the rodeo. It is, also, a educational facility with the 4H and FFA. It's not Walt Disney World.

I am there almost every day and no one has ever given me a problem. So I am not sure what you are talking about. Perhaps you can explain it more?

Nothing to explain, that is how I feel about some of the people at the Fair in the past. So with that being said I don't feel good about talking my family there.

Cut and dry.

Oh and the last nail in the coffin is the whole Credit Card Swiper thing.
