Some good news for people who think the fair is to expensive. There are not many things you can do for 1 dollar anymore but its nice to know the stat fair is still a place where 1 dollar means something.

This is from today's Chieftain:

Rams, ThunderWolves and anyone who loves a bargain will find them at today's edition of the Colorado State Fair. It's Pepsi Dollar Day and Loaf 'N Jug Discount Day and tonight honors Colorado State University System alumni and students of Colorado State University-Pueblo with discounted admission.

Default 2010 Colorado State Fair

This is the view of the events center from outside the grounds.

These pictures are of the Ag building. This would be perfect for events.

I had to take a picture of my favorite building at the fair, the state fair events center. I will be going to a concert there monday so look for even more pictures!

Talking 2010 Colorado State Fair

I was at the state fair again tonight and took some pictures. For a Wednesday it was more crowded then I had expected.

The state fair as a lot of free entertainment. This was Vocal Trash.

Some Colorado history here!

I took a few pics last Saturday too. Sorry some of them are fuzzy;

I only ate one thing... the Pass Key Super. Oh, and I bought a bag of pinons... which are all gone now. Need to go back to the fair one more time. I need to find someone to ride that Sky Fire and those bigger rides with.

Talking 2010 Colorado State Fair

I spent the night at the fair and once again took more pictures. Tomorrow begins the labor day weekend and fiesta day which is traditionally the busiest day of the fair.

PCC students did a great job at the Fine Art Gallery. I enjoy all the art at the fair as it is the best of the best in the state.

Talking 2010 Colorado State Fair

Labor day weekend is here and as usual the fair was packed. The forecast calls for it to be warm and dry all weekend with highs in the low to mid 90's with no rain. So it should be a perfect end for the fair so they can get above 500,000 people in attendance.

Here are my daily pictures of the State Fair:

The fair from a distance.

Look at all the people.

This is the permanent tent they had built. Its used as a bar/ restaurant/ club at the fair.

The fair is on and when the fair was on most everyone is there. To give you a idea, Friday there was over 65,000 people at the fair and the city of Pueblo is only 110,000 people and the metro is only 160,000 people. Sure many come to see the fair from out side Pueblo but the majority on any given day are Puebloans. Also on Sunday which is Fiesta Day the attendance will be close to 100,000 people.

As far as what you saw, I agree Pueblo has a ways to go, but you said that it looked like a city without a plan. Again I just pointed out that we have a plan much more so then Colorado Springs where all I hear is one study after another study that is being done. Plus we are willing to spend money to take the plan from the study to reality.

Talking 2010 Colorado State Fair

Tonight at the fair I went on the farris wheel and took pictures of the fair from the top.

In this picture you can see the events center.
