Ugh, hopefully Friday will be day 3 for me. I gave up skiing on the weekends. I hope to get 10 days in this season. With small kids, its just difficult.

I'm fortunate that I don't have to deal with the I-70 sh!tshow. I try to ski twice a week when work allows. Some years I get 40 days, some 25.

Like all sports you have to learn very young (I was 4) to be any good at it.
I started golf in my 30's and totally suck at it. Tiger Woods is a great example of when to learn (!).

I totally disagree. My mom didn't take up skiing until she moved to CO in her mid-40s. She's an excellent skier.

Me bad- I should have said it would be hard to be an "elite" skier if you learn later in life, just like all sports.
Even elite athletes slow down later in life- Tom Brady excepted (!).

How many hobby skiers have the goal of being elite? You stated that if you were older it wasn’t even worth it to try. I think that’s ridiculous.
My 75 year old dad still goes skiing 2 days a week. His goal is to have fun, just like most of us.
