I don't think people use this forum for such specific questions. I think people have suggested that you look for a local forum, like a next-door or residents-only forum, if there is one. It's how I got a lot of info for my specific area (Ridgway-Ouray). I think this forum is more like relocation/whole state discussion. Maybe a homesteaders forum? Best luck.

Agree. There may be one other person on this forum familiar with the SLV. Doesn't mean the forum is "dead"; just means that those of us on this forum live in other places around the state. If you were in Buena Vista, I could give you a specific answer.

Does Alamosa have a Chamber of Commerce or visitor center of some kind? Those are staffed by locals who are usually a wealth of information.

I’m not even in the US, I live in the UK so I rely on forums like this for information. So far I’ve been given a lot of advice but seems really quiet lately. And not just replies, as if no one had any questions either. Thanks though, will have a look elsewhere too.

Many of our people have moved on to their local Facebook or Next Door groups. We get less traffic as time goes by. I'm not on either of those systems but I think you might be able to join the local SLV groups, even from the UK.
