I'm headed to CB with my wife this week. I'm a pretty advanced skier willing to do just about anything on the mountain, but my wife is still beginner/intermediate. I hate skiing alone and especially on terrain I'm not familiar with and on a mountain as extreme as CB. I'm not planning to completely abandon my wife but it would be nice to be able to go off and see more of the mountain. Anybody out here a CB local willing to pick up a ski buddy?

On another note, it never seems to fail that whenever we plan to go out west, we miss the storms. Forecast for our trip shows sun most of the time with very little chance of snow (good and bad). I know how locals treasure their sacred knowledge of their mountain and where the stashes hold up days after storms but if anybody's willing to share, I'd gladly appreciate it.

Luke

I was a sno~cat Opp for a few years at CBMR.

Sent me a plane ticket and I'll show you the mountain. I'll find my own place to stay.

I know you want to go and check out the spellbound & Phoenix bowl and the other areas but if you pay attention there are a lot of nice lines between the intermediate runs that will give you a few turns in the steep and deep and you will be able to ride the lift with your wife.

Or try this get to the hill early in the am, ski with your wife all morning, a intermediate skier may be ready to hang out on the paradise deck. On a nice day allowing you to get a few runs in on the steep stiff.

Have fun, there on there way to having a record year for snow fall.
