As long as I get 3-6 decent snow storms I will be a happy camper!

Funny that we've yet to hit the same temperatures as the last Interglacial Period 120,000 years ago when sea levels were 20 feet higher than they are today. Point being the Earth's climate is anything but stable and science has proven that beyond a doubt. Is climate change real? Yes. Will Colorado's climate change as the Earth continues to warm, yes. To the extent that some scientists say...that remains yet to be seen.

Ha! Your rock reminds me of the "weather swan" we bought from a superbly kitchy glassblower in Manitou a couple years ago that was touted as a barometer / weather predictor. The colored water inside was pretty but never moved one bit and never predicted any whether far as I could tell - until the glorious day a big gust of wind blew the darn thing into our kitchen sink, shattering it. I turned to my wife and said - "Wow, the thing worked after all!" I now confidently recommend the Manitou Weather Swan as the ultimate predictor of Colorado weather patterns.

Latest forecast is for a foot of snow on the San Juans. It stayed in the 50's here in Delta today, steady rain all day. It was really nice.

Pretty much the same in the GJ area but 10 degrees warmer in the morning. Am going to Denver this weekend, will wait till Saturday. If the storm still lingers, will go through Gunnison and Salida on hwy. 50 instead and backtrack from Canon City.
