There are plenty of posts on Pueblo. Just look up Pueblo in the thread finder and you will see them.......
It's probably better to somehow get hold of a Pueblo phone book and go through IT. I'm not finding much on the internet on Pueblo. It's kind of like New Mexico in that regards; nothing much is advertised on the Internet. You could get an e-subscription to the Chieftain but then even the digital version of Sunday's paper doesn't have much. It's like, that city doesn't really want out-of-towners to be able to easily find information on them, or something. It's like, they WANT you to do it this way: book a regular hotel through Priceline.com, pay way more per week than you should, GET THERE, grab a paper phone book, and go at it that way. While your savings runs out. Or if you somehow lined up a job without being there, do it that way anyway. Because it feels like, anything there that does advertise, treats people who reply like they're going to be criminals (i.e. the wording of most postings on Pueblo Craigslist...)

At least it's "better" than The Springs in this one regard: there is more available online for people coming to The Springs to reserve ahead of time but that city was, after all, built to be "the playground for the wealthy." And the prices of the things you'll find advertised and be able to line up beforehand, reflect that!!

Meaning. Pueblo is cheaper. Once you GET there, that is. Try arranging a place to stay beforehand and you'll more likely wind up in The Springs. If that happens, take the South Side - it's closer to Pueblo, obviously.

Olathe is a town, not a city.
I woud go with either Burlington or Craig as both have lost and are losing population.

Walsenburg is cheap. I think it's also the meth capital of Colorado.

Some of the towns have local hotels that have weekly or monthly rates for rooms that are basically a minimally-equipped studio apt. They wouldn't necessarily show up on a Google search. Nationally, IME Howard Johnson's has the best rates and offers the most amenities for their low prices. I don't know if they'd be up for negotiating a monthly rate.
