Since you'll be here in October and since you mentioned that you love the snow, you might consider getting a job with one of the ski resorts here. You don't have to know how to ski to get work there, and you will be surrounded by people your own age and the most awsome scenary in Colorado. It would be an excellent introduction to Colorado's mountains and winters, and give you time to make a more informed permanent decision about where to live, go to school and work.

Evergreen's beautiful, but may not have the jobs or social life that will best suit you.

Wherever you end up, Enjoy!

I've read some of your posts and I just wanted to wish you luck on your move! I think it's great! I too have decided to make the big move, with my kids, to Colorado in June of 2008 after I finish school. I'll be leaving some friends and family here in Reno,Nevada, but am ready to move on to new adventure! So I say go for it!

Well said, CAMom!

You might be surprised how smart you are. One of my brothers-in-law felt as you do, like electronics enough to try a two year degree, then decided to stay and get a bachelor's in electrical engineering.
