I've also seen jobs for mechanics in Castle Rock. Sometimes you see them on Town of Castle Rock - HOME jobs section or the Douglas County jobs section.

I agree with that the others have been saying -- that commute would be hell. Save yourself the grief -- don't do it. Find a closer job if you must live in Co. Springs or Monument. Castle Rock would be a more do-able drive ... and less traffic in that stretch.

For some reason, the traffic out of Castle Rock has been really awful lately. The growth of the town has frankly outpaced the capacity of I-25 ... and jamming up thru town up till Happy Canyon is all too common. Its also been jamming in the opposite direction in the afternoon.

Castle Rock is havina public session to discuess I-25 this week. There are also projects in the future to add a meadows interchange, re-do plum creek interchange as a full diamond ... and probably more. Castle Rock is working hard to catch up ... but currently, they are behind, IMHO.

Maybe this is the same job already mentioned in a prior post:

I noticed this this morning on the I-25 traffic cams. I needed to drive to DEN airport this morning and I noticed the I-25 was pretty slow between Monument and Castle Rock around 7AM (it was snowing lightly). I took CO-83 instead through Parker. No traffic at all until I hit the traffic lights around Parker. With the exception of the traffic lights in Parker, CO-83 is a great, scenic, route.
