I'm in the Vail area, $1500 will get you a place pretty easily, the closer to Vail the less space, Minturn, Eagle-Vail, Avon, Edwards more space. We open in less than 2 weeks so there are lots of jobs to take you through the winter and get you a free or low cost pass to play on the slopes. Look at

Vail looks very nice and after hearing it is affordable puts it up on the list? How is the job market? I plan on working for a couple of years before I open a business =)

Since you are wanting to live near the ski slopes, you might try applying for jobs at the resorts and let that dictate your move. Your budget is pretty affordable, although you might not be able to make that kind of rent with a ski resort job. Something to consider.

I am also wanting to move to Colorado. Not too interested in being close to the slopes, but I am a student (doesn't necessarily mean I have to be close to colleges either), its just that I am on a budget. I am looking for a place that is around $600 a month, one bedroom that allows 3 dogs. If anyone knows anything I would be very interested. Thank you!!!
