First I want to say it is not because of the pot as I live in Washington =p

Cheap places around some decent slopes around 1500 per month

Overall nice community not really concerned about political leanings

I have about six months off bank money to look for job

I'm in the Vail area, $1500 will get you a place pretty easily, the closer to Vail the less space, Minturn, Eagle-Vail, Avon, Edwards more space. We open in less than 2 weeks so there are lots of jobs to take you through the winter and get you a free or low cost pass to play on the slopes. Look at Vail Colorado | VailDaily.com News and craigslist: high rockies classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events If Vail doesn't do it for you the same scenario is playing out all over the mountains now, see the bottom of the Vail Daily page for links to other area newspapers.

Vail looks very nice and after hearing it is affordable puts it up on the list? How is the job market? I plan on working for a couple of years before I open a business =)

THANKS

Since you are wanting to live near the ski slopes, you might try applying for jobs at the resorts and let that dictate your move. Your budget is pretty affordable, although you might not be able to make that kind of rent with a ski resort job. Something to consider.

It depends what industry you are looking in. Look at the ads in the paper to get a good idea of the open positions. Here's a link to the jobs site for Vail Resorts Vail Resorts | Jobs.VailResorts.com

I am also wanting to move to Colorado. Not too interested in being close to the slopes, but I am a student (doesn't necessarily mean I have to be close to colleges either), its just that I am on a budget. I am looking for a place that is around $600 a month, one bedroom that allows 3 dogs. If anyone knows anything I would be very interested. Thank you!!!

nome....If you are indeed on a budget like you say you are, then it makes utmost sense to live close to where you will be going to school.
