Old House Journal Nov 2012 lists Pueblo as #7 for historic preservation. One the landmark houses on Lake Ave is pictured.

Pretty great recognition for a lot of hard historic preservation advocacy work there.

That is great news for Pueblo!

Yes Pueblo does a lot of historic preservation and we have been getting recognized for it. In fact one of the areas located north of downtown by Parkview Medical Center and Mineral Palace Park is rated as one of the best historic neighborhoods in the country and the best in the state. Downtown it self has a lot of historic buildings. The state fair has a lot of buildings built during the great depression under the back to work program. Central High School is one of the best buildings for a high school in the nation, in my opinion.

I am honored to live in a town that respects its historic buildings as many cities anymore do not. Stating this week I will go around town and take some pictures of historic buildings and post them here for all to see why Pueblo has been recognized.

I thought of you Josseppie when I read the article! Thanks for the great pics, although I must spread reps around before giving them to you again! We really love the historic buildings in Pueblo.
