Hello Everyone...

Colorado Gems Card | Colorado Ski Country USA

Colorado Gems card, $10, always seems like a really great deal.

We go to the Colorado Ski & Snowboard Expo in Denver and get our cheap lift tix. Last year a 4 pack for A Basin was $139 (fully transferable lift tickets valid any day). Every CO ski area/resort is represented there. You can also get great deals on equipment and clothing.
It will be held November 2-4 at the Convention Center: BEWI Ski & Snowboard Expos

If you plan to get a week or more in, consider a season's pass.

We put our deposits down for the Summit Pass (Breck, Keystone, A Basin) in the Spring. Balance is charged some time in Sept to the credit card. Hopefully we get more use this season (conditions-realted) - last season only 15 days, prior season 55.

Agreed. For those of you with kids 5-12ish who may not need the bigger ski hills anyway, the Monarch Pass is a pretty good deal. 3 "free" days at roughly 10 Colorado "family" mountains, 5ish New Mexico mountains, and various others. I figured if we get 7.5 days of skiing/boarding in we break even - anything more is basically "free." I expect we'd make 15 days minimum (knock wood). Paying the daily lift ticket and equipment rental rate is just waaaay too pricey for what you get.

You were only able to ski 15 days last year? I am hoping to get this Summit Pass. When did the resorts open and close in 2011?

That "show" is a waste of money IMO. You can buy those same 4-packs at the same price at a number of smaller events held at local ski shops, without having to pay an admissions fee and downtown parking.

Default Sniagrab

Do they sell discount ski passes at the upcoming "sniagrab" (bargains) event?
