whats the employment like in pueblo ? I my self will work anywhere, my girl friend is fresh out of college with business management and human resources management. she has 7 years in managing at a hotel in our current location. I plan on doing college after we move for information technology support. We have been wanting to move for some time now, i am sure with the legalization of marijuana Colorado is being flooded with new people who don't have a clue on what they are going to do once they get there. We are going to go visit a few areas (more in the northern/west area of Pueblo) in about a month. Maybe check out a few apartments or town homes.

Just wondering if anyone could be helpful and give me some sort of information.
Also some information on apartments in the north / west area that would be first choice of a new comber of the area.

Pueblo has the highest unemployment of all of the MSA's in Colorado. It has trended above the statewide CO unemployment rate for the past few decades, so there is a bit of a higher "structural" unemployment in the city. Unfortunately, Colorado Springs, which has provided economic growth opportunities for the norther portion of Pueblo, is also suffering from high unemployment which also is dragging down Pueblo.

Pueblo is the manufacturing center of the state and as such has been hit the hardest. Our latest rates are still above 10% and most of our large developments like Pueblo Springs Ranch remain on hold till the economy improves.
