I will be graduating from college in december. I have lived in maine my entire life, and i need a taste of something different. I have compiled a list of places that i would like to move to, and colorado is on the top of my list.

I am looking into the norther part of the state. I like the looks of Colorado Springs, Boulder and Fort Collins. I am not much of a city person, so Denver really isn't appealing to me.

The thing is, I am looking for civil engineering jobs, and those are easier to find in a bigger city. I know the cost of living in Colorado are higher than they are in Maine, but I'm pretty sure with increased cost of living comes increased wages, to some extent.

I am looking for a nice town/city that has a large population of people in their mid-to-upper 20's. I love the outdoors, hiking is always nice, and i wouldn't mind being 30 minutes or closer to a body of water. any ideas?

I haven't really looked into La Porte. I really don't know much about Colorado, other than what I've read. I see that it's a few miles out of Fort Collins, so that's a plus.

Are there any colleges nearby? How about any major construction companies?
