Did get an answer on the incumbent thing~ If we vote Morse out we can reelect him next year because he is not an incumbent.... but of course the pro gun guys that are trying the recall thing are going to love John Morse for an additional two terms~~~hee hee!

There is a conservative tsunami sweeping back over this state and it is a direct result of Democrats' crazy-liberal agenda.
Just curious, were you one of the folks who just knew Romney would win Colorado?

Default You can't prove that

They tend to be hit and miss in other states. I'd have to say Grey Davis' recall from the California Governor's Seat is probably the biggest successful recall. That one was pretty big, though.

The problem with this thread is that the GOPers are predicting success in the recall elections because that's what they want. And the Dems are predicting failure because that's what they want.

I learned that the winner of an election is not necessarily who I want before I was 20. Come on folks, learn to analyze politics based on reality, not on your far-right or far-left news sources.

This is driven by the gun industry and profits. Reading an interesting book called 'The Last Gun', by Tim Diaz.

Would like to see more coordination related to research on guns and gun violence related to the ATF bureau, the CDC, etc.

What exactly would coordination on research do that hasn't been done already?

In 2010, there were 11,078 homicides involving a firearm. Let's assume that each one used a unique gun. I'm sure there were more people injured but not killed with a firearm. I'll focus only on deaths.

Most estimates say there are well over 300 million firearms in the use in civilian hands.

That means (300,000,000 - 11,078)/(300,000,000) = 99.996% of the firearms in the US have not been involved in an intentional death.

The CDC is prohibited from sponsoring peer reviewed studies of the public health effects of gun violence. The ATF is barred from releasing any meaningful data from its National Tracing Center on guns used in crimes. This due to the efforts of the NRA and their right-wing allies.
