One goes on medicare (senior medical insurance) at 65 or 66. Check what the age limit is for senior ombudsman (or woman) intervention.

Dreaming of Hawaii,
There is no doubt that I very emotional about this but I do try to stick to the facts. I guess the reason that I mentioned her seniority, is because she has more free time (to focus on me) and is most likely retired.
Thanks to you too Cully.

Regardless of all the legalities and issues, if you are renting, I'd move along at the end of your lease. You'll have to weigh how important your time and money is when it comes to getting involved in legal hassles. There are some people not worth dealing with.

Good advice, I agree Wann. I'd move at the end of the lease, too, but then again, I'm not moving with children, which has got to be far harder. And, EH still has to live next to this woman 'til the end of her lease & has forced her into having to deal with her & the PM, the latter who seems to be doing a rather poor job and/or needs his legal job responsibilities defined. The other thing I thought of is she doesn't yet know what this new tenant is telling the PM. It must be awful, given that the OP & PM have had a good relationship for 3-yrs & suddenly he's calling 5-times in 1-wk in a rather surly manner.

In the meantime, EH does need some sort of protection & at very least, to feel someone's acting on her behalf, for peace of mind & a bit of support. Given that she said she's lower income (although $1,750 is quite a high rent, so maybe a move would benefit monetarily, as well), I'm sure there are some free resources at her disposal. And, shame on that awful woman for doing this to a family.

But, EH is on the ball & has already set up appts, so I'm sure this will have a quick resolution.

I called Community Housing and they said that as long as my truck was running and registered it can stay wherever I want it to stay. I think we are still a long way off from a peaceful resolution but I have gathered so much of your wonderful info over the last 2 days it has been very empowering.
Thank you, all.

I second that. Good work. I hope it's a peaceful time for the remainder of your lease.
