We're considering moving to CO & are interested in a small town near the mountains, but not too expensive. My husband is ready to downsize & he's ready to just get simple employment to make the bills. Any suggestions? We have children & would have to take that into consideration as well.

Please tell us more, there are hundreds of small towns near the mountains or in the mountains.

What kind of job and what price range of house or rent are key info to provide, plus anything else you care to tell us.

House price around $250,000 to $275,000. My husband could do any kind of sales or insurance. Don't know much about CO, so whatever you can offer would help.

Big population centers are on Front Range, see map of CO and find the I-25 corridor. Millions live here. Probably best bet for you.

Start your focus on areas like Estes Park, Fort Collins, Monument, Canon City or Pueblo West. Other folks may have better ideas.

Strongly suggested:
1. Use the Search tool along the top of the page. Enter search terms like Estes or Collins or Canon or Pueblo West and you'll get to see all the info that has already been put here by our members.
2. Go to REALTOR.com - Real Estate Listings & Homes For Sale to search on these towns and see styles and prices of CO homes. Many areas in CO are higher than your price range. Consider renting a year to see if an area suits you and while looking around.
