Canon City is one of the areas that we are considering moving/retiring to. Most aspects of the area sound promising. I've read many posts regarding Canon City and am wondering what time of year is the surrounding area is the most green (spring, summer or fall)? Thanks

Spring.

Trees are green until about Halloween.

Mid-April to Mid-June is when most everything will be green. Things might green up a bit in late July/early August depending on how strong the summer monsoonal flow is. Don't count heavily on it, though.

If you're running windows and you have a number pad on your keyboard you can also hold down Alt and type 164 (ñ) or 165 (Ñ) but only on the number pad.

Most useless post I've seen in a while. Not everyone has a fāñćý ķęýbőąŕđ handy. Head back to the Denver subforum where you belong. I got SOCO covered.

Green is relative in Cañon City (and I'm pretty sure you know it has the ~ above the n ). Anyhow, springtime, as others have pointed out, is definitely the most green. But with the relatively low precipitation year round, spring will be your best bet for some green besides the Piñon & juniper trees.

Never "green" there, almost desert.

About as green as it gets.
