Im single, 24 years old, some college under my belt although that has nothing to do with what my career is. I am an automotive estimator with 3 years experience and getting licensed this summer (MA makes it a real pain to get any sort of license but I'm just about there). From what I understand there is no license needed in Colorado and I have seen multiple appraisal jobs posted in and around the Denver area for insurance companies and body shops. I'm not afraid to work other jobs as I come from a hard working family. My life seems stagnant here in Boston and I think this is the time to follow what my gut is telling me to do. I love the outdoors, being active, snowboarding, snowmobiling you name it I do it. Realistically I would like to have rent be under 1000. What are some areas that I should visit when I fly over? I have lived alone before in FT lauderdale, found out the hard way that it was just a flat wasteland with nothing to besides drink and go to the beach. Also, how is the nightlife, Im going to have to get out there and meet people. Thank you everyone.

We love to drink micro brews here.
The entire eastern half the state is a vast, semi-arid prairie. Some might call it a wasteland.
There are no beaches.

An insurance adjustor with experience in the mountains of Colorado...might serve you well.

For lodging, the towns in and around the resorts will run around 1200 furnished with utilities included for a 1 bed.

I am partial to Breckenridge. It has the snowfall I was looking for. Great skiing, great nightlife, friendly laid back locals, amazing fly-fishing, Hiking, Mt biking,,,,etc....etc. Personally, I like the tourist. They add a good vibe to a town that would not exist without them.

I wouldn't hesitate.

Thanks Timothy, I guess I'm just a little nervous as this would be the furthest I have been away from home. Then again, MA feels less like home each year that passes. I'l be flying out in May to explore, I will be sure to cruise up to Breckenridge and all the surrounding areas. If I feel that fuzzy feeling inside, I'l start the job hunt!
