Snow levels are way low in the southwest corner of the state.
A quick note to the poster who repped me anonymously by asking me if I counted the raindrops.

I sure did! In Mesa County a lot of the long time locals refer to the weather fronts rolling through the area as the 50/50/50 syndrome--50 snowflakes-50 raindrops-and 50 m.p.h. winds!

Post #160 by Parfleche is right. Though I haven't been to Cortez since last November, looking at KKCO's ski report on the 10 o'clock news told me all I needed to know about snow pack. They reported that Wolf Creek Pass Ski Base is 48 inches. Telluride IIRC is the same. Usually Wolf Creek at this time of the year is anywhere from 90 to 120 inches.

An update on the 11.75" of snow we received on Wednesday: it's almost GONE. Between the sun, the wind and the warm temps yesterday (45) most of it has melted. Our driveway is 80% clear and we didn't even have to plow it. This is not a normal February! It feels like April. Mind you, I am not complaining!
(But I will say that the 76 mph wind gust that woke me up around midnight was unnecessary.)

That was me! All in good fun. This past couple of days in Denver sure has been strange. Feels like early summer. We had the windows open today, and we all wore shorts. As blindingly pale Caucasians, our legs were a visual hazard.

Saturday I was outside all day. Smoked ribs, went for a hike. All the windows were open. It was 68 degrees. I got sunburnt.

Five day forecast for Mesa County is still still the same-clear to partly cloudy, temps in the mid 50's, possible snow in the high country Tuesday night but won't add up to very much.

Getting a early sun tan in Grand Junction CO. This past month of winter has been the best stretch of spring weather I can remember during the 9 years I've lived here.

Mark Twain might have said it like this: The most pleasant Spring I ever spent is Winter in Grand Junction.

I so wish I could send Colorado some or ALL of the snow we've been having and will be getting here in eastern Massachusetts. I mean, I don't think "snow pack" was supposed to refer to my yard (where the dogs could walk out over the fence if the gate wasn't blocked by a massive drift). Maybe I should move to mountain Colorado for better winter weather, not just the gorgeous summers!

Wish we could take some of it brightdoglover! My friends in Maine have received more than 6' of snow!
Our 3 weeks of ridiculously nice spring weather has come to an end today. After a high of 55 yesterday, it's 22 degrees and snowing furiously. We'll see if this amounts to anything...

We're getting very light flurries in the south metro. It's feeling pretty chilly after all of that gorgeous sunny weather we've had recently, but the snow isn't amounting to much yet.

I've gotten close to six feet now in eastern Mass. Amazing wind and drifting in this morning's blizzard. Drifts overtopping the six-foot fence in the yard. I wouldn't mind it except I have to go to work at 11p unless it's truly dangerous. It's been below zero almost every night for weeks. Quite unusual weather here and we don't need it one bit. (Sending snow and water thoughts to beautiful Colorado, we shall meet again in August).
