My Accuweather thingie says it's 16 degrees out. It's snowing, still. But the snow is melting on the pavement, has been melting off wherever the weak light through the clouds hits it. Even though it is REALLY cloudy. It's strange...I would not think that it would be warm enough on any surface for the snow to melt, but it is. There is no de-icer on this pavement.

Whatever, just hoping my drive home isn't as scary as it was last night!
The same thing is happening in Pueblo because the ground is still warm from all the warm days we have had.

-11 here this morning. 7" of snow. I welcome the snow but sub-zero temps this early in November is crazy.

The National Weather Service in Pueblo has issued a winter weather advisory for snow that includes the entire Pueblo metro area till Thursday. Pueblo Proper will get 3-6 inches and the south west suburbs of Rye and Beulah will get 6-12 inches. The high will be around 12 today! I suspect rush hour today will be a mess. I will post pictures later tonight.

Oh I am! Plus I think there is another cold air blast coming Saturday. Great way for me to get my first snow of the season.

Frigid temps and flurries here in the Springs. If it gets up into the 30's on Friday as predicted by Accuweather at least, it's gonna feel downright balmy!!

The snow has returned in Pueblo! Here is a picture of 13th street looking towards the interstate in downtown.

Not the typical first snow of the season as its usually warm with little not no accumulation. This was worth the long wait as the last time we had snow in Pueblo was May 13, my birthday.

Here is the hazardous weather outlook for this weekend from the NWS in Pueblo:

ON SATURDAY...SNOW WILL CONTINUE ACROSS THE CONTINENTAL
DIVIDE...AND IT WILL BE HEAVY AT TIMES. ANOTHER ARCTIC FRONT WILL
PUSH SOUTHWARD ACROSS THE SOUTHEAST PLAINS DURING THE DAY

SATURDAY. AFTER THE FRONT GOES BY...GUSTY NORTH WINDS WILL DEVELOP
AND TEMPERATURES WILL PLUMMET ONCE AGAIN. SNOW IS EXPECTED TO
DEVELOP OVER THE PLAINS BY LATER IN THE AFTERNOON AND INCREASE IN
COVERAGE AND INTENSITY OVER THE PLAINS SATURDAY NIGHT. SEVERAL
INCHES OF SNOW WILL BE POSSIBLE OVER THE PLAINS
AND SOUTHERN
MOUNTAIN AREAS. THE BEST CHANCE OF HEAVIER SNOW WILL BE ALONG THE
EAST SLOPES OF THE MOUNTAINS ADJACENT TO THE PLAINS...AND THE I-25
CORRIDOR REGION.

SUNDAY WILL BE COLD ACROSS THE PLAINS WITH SNOW ENDING FROM NORTH
TO SOUTH DURING THE MORNING.
