Pikes Peak Community College has a zookeeping program. Colorado Springs also has Cheyenne Mountain Zoo which is really cool. Probably some of the other colleges have similar programs.

But do pay attention to the comments in this thread about out of state tuition.

Avoid the Western Slope if you can. Economy is tanking and your educational options are limited, unless you like Colorado Mesa University, which is the one bright spot in Grand Junction. You may like, as some others have mentioned, Summit County. Close to Denver (if you want some big city options) but far enough away where you can breathe so to speak. Great outdoor rec options galore! There is some beautiful country in that area!!! Breathtaking views!

Denver-Aurora-Broomfield, CO Economy at a Glance

Western slope might have some problems, front range looks solid. Unemployment is down from 5.4% in April to 4.8% in August. September numbers were not uploaded to that database yet.

According to the Denver business journal, in September it fell from 4.8% to 4.0%.
